The Steering Committee reviewed ongoing Action Items from the Face-to-Face meeting that was held on November 28-29, 2017 in DC. In addition, there were various updates from FSPCA’s committees and subcommittees. The ToT WG finalized the 2018 Lead Instructor schedule, the schedule is posted on the FSPCA website. FSPCA’s Annual Conference will be July 18-19, 2018 at Navy Pier. The Animal Food Blended course is currently being worked on. All online Intentional Adulteration courses are targeted to be live by the summer of 2018.

FSPCA’s Annual Conference will be July 18-19, 2018 at Navy Pier. The ToT WG is in the process of policy development and in hopes of a F2F in mid-March. The International Subcommittee presented their 2018 Action Plan. The next Steering Committee F2F is scheduled April 4-5 in DC.

The bulk of the meeting was focused on the status of the action items from the April Steering Committee face-to-face. FSPCA’s Strategic Plan Subcommittee was introduced—this subcommittee is tasked with developing a strategic plan post-FDA grant. The FSPCA Annual Conference (July 18-19) is close to being sold out. FSPCA will be partnering with IICA, FAS, and FAS/SPS for funded international Human Food Lead Instructor training.

The majority of the call focused on action item updates from the Steering Committee face-to-face meeting on August 7-8. The 2019 Lead Instructor course schedule is in the process of being finalized. Intentional Adulteration online courses are near to being complete. The Vulnerability Assessment (face-to-face course) walk-thru will be scheduled in either late October or early November.

The ToT Work Group is in the process of starting an FSPCA Document Control Project. The ToT Work Group is requesting a face-to-face meeting to complete these tasks. The 2019 Lead Instructor courses are underway. The venues, dates, and locations have been confirmed. A poll was sent to the ToTs to determine availability. Intentional Adulterations courses are in the works. The Key Activities Types course is expected to go live in November and the Mitigation Strategies course is expected to go live in December.

The 2019 Lead Instructor courses are live and posted on the FSPCA website. The venues, dates, and locations have been confirmed, along with the ToT selection. Intentional Adulterations courses are in the works. The Key Activities Types course is expected to go live the last week of November and the Mitigation Strategies course is expected to go live in January.

The KAT course was released and 69 people have already signed up for this course. The IA VA LI course roll out plan has been created—proposing early February to start offering the course. The FSVP Blended course is expected to be completed summer of 2019. The ToT WG will be having a face-to-facce meeting at IFSH on January 8-11.
