IFSH presented the Darsh Wasan IFSH Food Safety Award to Kurt Deibel, VP of Food Safety & Quality with the North American Kraft Heinz Company, for his outstanding contributions to food safety across government, academia and industry. Dr. Deibel has a long and distinguished history of working with IFSH on a myriad of food safety issues and currently serves on IFSH’s Executive Advisory Board.

Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH) and FDA CFSAN's Division of Food Processing, Science and Technology welcomed over 200 participants to the IFSH 2016 Annual Meeting from industry, government and universities! Our program offered an exclusive keynote address on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), updates on the FDA/CFSAN strategic plan, a panel on the new Whole Genome Sequencing Initiative and working sessions for the Sprout Safety Alliance and Low Moisture Foods Taskforce meetings, in addition to other sessions.
