Dr. Kurt Deibel Receives the IFSH 2016 Darsh Wasan Food Safety Award

IFSH presented the Darsh Wasan IFSH Food Safety Award to Kurt Deibel, VP of Food Safety & Quality with the North American Kraft Heinz Company, for his outstanding contributions to food safety across government, academia and industry. Dr. Deibel has a long and distinguished history of working with IFSH on a myriad of food safety issues and currently serves on IFSH’s Executive Advisory Board. 

After receiving the award, Deibel went on to say “[i]t is an honor to be recognized with the Darsh Wasan IFSH Food Safety Award.  The IFSH Consortium has been a valuable resource throughout my career.  It allows the Food Industry to discuss technical issues and emerging regulations with FDA, Academicians and other leading Food Companies in an open noncompetitive environment.  IFSH’s contributions span from training (Preventive Controls), research (addressing emerging food safety and health issues) and practical guidelines to prevent food safety issues.  IFSH is a necessary external resource for Food Companies as food safety tools and regulations become more robust.”
