Dear FDA Colleagues, IFSH Members and Stakeholders,

Effective August 11, 2021, Professor Jason Wan has been named the Interim Director of the Institute for Food Safety and Health here at Illinois Institute of Technology. The University will commence a national search for a new permanent director and we will be seeking the support and help of all of our FDA, corporate, and university stakeholders to ensure that we identify the very best possible candidate to lead the Institute for the next many years.

We would like to reiterate that the upcoming IFSH events, ongoing research programs and collaborations will continue on schedule. The IFSH Annual Meeting, Task Force Meetings, Joint symposium with FRI, FSPCA Annual Conference, trainings and workshops, are being held as planned. As we move forward, I want to assure you that our vision for IFSH is to be the preeminent institute in the field of food safety and health. With your ongoing support, we can continue to fulfill that vision.
