IFSH organizes several workshops throughout the year. They serve the timely aspects of grant outreach as required by USDA, NIH, or FDA. Workshops may also be formed to address specific industry needs to identify gaps in domestic and international research and science programs. In either case IFSH is well connected to convene key science and thought leaders for important landmark white papers or monographs. IFSH also partners with the University of Wisconsin’s Food Research Institute to produce timely industry sponsored symposiums on critical food safety subjects. Recent subjects have been on Rapid Methods in Microbiology for Food Safety, Water Quality and Food Safety, and Food Allergens. IFSH members receive special pricing on registration fees for these events.
